What does a custom closet system cost?
A single reach-in typically runs $1,200-$3,000 built and installed; walk-ins usually land $3,500-$10,000 depending on size and drawer count. Wood construction throughout - these are cabinets, not coated wire - and the number arrives in writing after a measure.
How is this different from a franchise closet system?
Franchise systems assemble standard laminate modules shipped from a factory; the design visit is a sales visit. This is a cabinet shop building wood storage to your wall dimensions - deeper drawers, real doors, finishes matched to the house, and no per-module pricing game. For odd walls, sloped ceilings, and older houses, built-to-fit is the difference between used space and lost space.
Can you do garage and laundry storage that takes abuse?
Yes - garage cabinets get plywood boxes, sealed finishes, and full-extension slides rated for tool weight; laundry rooms get cabinets that survive detergent drips and a folding counter at working height. Storage rooms are where cheap cabinets die fastest, so we build them heavier, not lighter.
